    hope this helps...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, they definitely do! I bought both 9K's in tandem (mainly to facilitate ease of movement between them), and the HH stand, while built like a Sherman tank, is just a bit too wobbly due to the rigid baseplate. I believe, too, that it's only available in a 2-legged model, which is what I have. A much better design IMO is Tama's Iron Cobra Lever Glide, because it actually has a 2-piece baseplate that not only works better if a stage or riser is a little shaky (it moves on its own so the top stays still!), but it folds up quickly and easily at the end of the gig. The DW has FOUR drumkey-bolts you have to tighten at setup and loosen at breakdown. Also, the spikes that ensure it doesn't move have to constantly be readjusted every new place you play. Very cumbersome.

Other than those MAJOR complaints, I do have to say the 9000 hihat stand does feel extremely smooth. It's just that all the other problems distract me from noticing it.

    Hi guys,
As far as beaters are concerened, I'm in total agreement with Derek, and most others here I guess..

The DW two sided beater is darn heavy and clunky. Putting on a lighter beater totally changes the feel of the pedal. I use the new DW HARDCORE beaters, they sound great and really add punch and dynamic to your playing. Playing sofly yeilds soft and warm results, but the plastic shines through for that click and volume when you lay into it...

Has anyone else tried these out???

    Today, I replaced my Eliminators,
with my Axis-A Longboards and again,
I see why they are the best pedals I
    have ever played.

Especially if you are a single-kick
player and if you are a heel-down
    drummer, the longboard brings back
the beater more smoothly and swiftly
    than any other pedal.

I love my 9000 series pedals and hat.........Have a single and a double. For most corporate gigs, i use my iron cobra hat just because it's been beat to death and I am not worried about it.
